Tanushree Dutta an Indian model and actress who started her film career with Aashiq Banaya Aapne . Tanushree Dutta was also winner of Femina Miss India Universe in 2004. However She is now off screen since 2010, but she came in limelight when She claims of harassment and abuse against veteran actor Nana Patekar and director Vivek Agnihotri, on separate incidents.
Tanushree Dutta left the industry long time ago just after few Hindi and Telugu films, She was shifted to USA long time ago. Actually Tanushree was recently interviewed by a fashion channel that asked her about her work and things she didn’t like here. In answer She opened 10 years ago harassment incident. Tanushree opened up about her experience with Nana Patekar, how he was rude to her and also allegedly harassed her while shooting for a film.
Tanushree Dutta accused director Vivek Agnihotri of inappropriate behavior on the sets of his 2005 film, ‘Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets. She revealed that the filmmaker asked her to strip and dance on the set, but Irfan Khan and Sunil Shetty who stood with her and She did not do this.
Other side Nana Patekar denied these allegations and said that he will take a legal action against Tanushree Dutta, He also said that he will not answer to the media because he has not done anything wrong. Nana’s lawyer, Rajendra Shirodkar told ANI news agency that his client will be sending a legal notice to Tanushree as “she has made false allegations and has spoken untruth”.
Bollywood got mixed reaction on this incident, some Bollywood actors and actress supported Tanushree Dutta for her courage and stand against this harassment. Farhan Akhtar,Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Swara, Parineeti Chopra tweeted in support of Tanushree Dutta. However Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan avoided answering questions on the matter during the trailer launch of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. However mostly celebrities are supporting Tanushree Dutta and tweeting in her support.
